Hands-on Nature Education That Takes You Beyond The Classroom
Home School Foraging Classes
Kids Foraging Club -Nature exposure and foraging class’s for youth or children ages 4 and up. Explore bush crafting, foraging, tasting, and fun nature poems while learning respect to all living things outside. Available April-November, this 1.5 hr class is only available for private bookings.
Investment: $333 for 1-12 participants including parents
Choose a class: Wild clay forage, seasonal foraging tour, fishing 101 (dryland and fish butchery/candying), wild crafting, fire making class, fiddle head forage and taste, herbal tea forage and crafting.
2-Hour Online Mushroom Workshop
This workshop is two hours long focusing on wild mushroom foraging from our local BC forests. Learn how to harvest, process, and cook with edible and medicinal mushrooms. We also talk about the PlantWave music device and play it through the whole workshop. Cover puff balls, chanterelles, boletes, and medicinal mushrooms.
Investment: $30 and you can enjoy this with your whole household FOREVER!
Apprenticeship Program For Young Adults
Dive deep into the forest engaging in one on one or group time with our red seal chef and foraging guide Raeanna. Days will consist of harvesting for the company, processing wild ingredients at the office, preserving and even cooking with them. This program is aimed at young adults and those with spare, flexible time in their schedule. It is free, apprentices exchange their time for knowledge and a hands on experience.
